  3. GriffinDingbats contains about 155 picture characters and a rather ornate
  4. Gothic drop caps font.  The picture images range from Art Nouveau printer
  5. ornaments, Renaissance printer ornaments and woodcut printer ornaments to
  6. smiling, walking vegetables; the drop caps letters are based on a Gothic
  7. typeface called Celebration.  This is the IBM PC version. A TrueType
  8. version is also available.

  10. NOTE: This version is broken up into smaller pieces which should alleviate
  11. problems encountered in the huge full version. The font characters should
  12. be self-explanatory.  Repeating characters and borders will be found every
  13. where; certain woodcut characters and ornaments have a deliberately rough
  14. quality to them, in order to preserve their original printed character.

  16. Some ornaments in the higher ASCII range will need to be printed at a size
  17. exceeding 72 points, at 300 dpi, in order to have the intended
  18.  white-on-black effect.

  27. The Griffin Music Ensemble is a six-year old performing ensemble, a
  28. 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, which is dedicated to the performance of
  29. music composed by established and young composers; in six years it has
  30. presented over twenty-five world premieres and at least as many Boston
  31. premieres;  the group’s major source of funding has been eliminated for
  32. the coming season, and we are scrambling for the funds to put on a minimal
  33. season until the recession ends and more funding can be found. If you give
  34. $12, you will be considered a payer of a shareware fee and a rightful
  35. owner; if you give $25 or more, you will be listed on the group's concert
  36. programs and you will receive another disk of fonts from me, as a premium.
  37. If you give $50, I’ll send you two disks of fonts; and if you give
  38. $12,000, the result will be unpredictable and incredibly joyous.

  45. in this archive are included, including the file you are reading.  User
  46. groups and other nonprofit organizations may also distribute this font
  47. on disks for which they charge money, with the same conditions.  Even
  48. commercial organizations that sell shareware disks may sell disks
  49. containing this font, providing the profit is not excessive and providing
  50. the obnoxious Paying for this disk doesn't mean you've paid for the
  51. software on it' message appears on the disk label containing this software
  52. and providing the previously mentioned conditions are met.
  53. GriffinDingbats is another incredibly cute product from Insect Bytes,
  54. where the mosquitoes make up for in quantity what they lack in size, and
  55. where cockroaches have never set foot.  In a manner of speaking.
